Talking about mental health can be hard. Despite public awareness and conversation, there can still be stigma. But mental illness is very common, with 1 in 3 Canadians experiencing it in their lifetime.
It’s important to reach out for help if you have concerns about your mental health. And your family doctor can be a good place to start, says Connie Leclair, a Registered Psychologist. We asked her to share how to prepare for a doctor’s appointment and what questions to ask.
